The Council of Sworn Bailiffs of Latvia would like to inform you of th= e updated fees for the service of foreign documents.

As of October 21, 2026 the Council is registered for VAT purposes i= n Latvia. Consequently, the applicab= le fee for the service of documents has changed.

The applicable fee depends on whether the transmitting agency is regis= tered for VAT purposes in an EU Member State, as follows:=

  • EUR 118.00 =96 if the transmitting agency is registered for VAT p= urposes in an EU Member State and has provided the Council of Sworn Bai= liffs of Latvia with its valid VAT identification number;
    • EUR 142.78 =96 if the transmitting agency is not registered for V= AT purposes in any EU Member State.

Please ensure that all bank transfer fees and any other related charge= s are borne by the sender so that the full applicable amount is received by= the Council of Sworn Bailiffs of Latvia.

If the transmitting agency is registered for VAT purposes in an EU Mem= ber State, please provide its VAT identification number when making the pay= ment and include proof of payment when submitting the request for service of documents.
